Research on N-1 Uninterrupted Operation Method for MMC-based Shore Power Supply System
Abstract
This paper presents a N-1 uninterrupted operation method for MMC-based shore power supply system(SPSS) including DC bus. Because of the existence of the fault module, the starting method with one fault module is different from that under normal conditions. Therfore a novel start-up scheme with one fault modules is presented. Through the coordination control between grid side converter and machine side converter that are operated in nearest level control modulation, SPSS can be normally started with one moduler fault. The greatest feature of the proposed scheme is that it has the capability to ensure the normal opration of the equipment even if there is a fault modular in the converter. To verify effectiveness of the scheme, a 10MV A/10kV MMC-based back-to-back model is established in MATLAB that uses S-function, and in which one cell fault condition is emulated.
