Secondary Frequency Regulation Strategy of Virtual Synchronization Technology Based Microgrid Considering the Integrated Benefit

Abstract

Based on the virtual synchronous machine technology, this paper proposes a secondary frequency regulation strategy for microgrid, which considers the generation costs of supply side VSGs and the benefits of load side VSGs respectively. The proposed strategy aiming at the integrated benefit of secondary frequency regulation for virtual synchronized microgrid is realized over sparse communication among adjacent controllers of supply side, load side VSGs and storage VSGs. To realize the optimal frequency regulation considering the integrated operation cost, the optimal power reference values of virtual synchronverters are calculated by distributed algorithm. A virtual synchronized microgrid model is built on MATLAB/Simulink platform. The effectiveness of the proposed frequency regulation strategy are verified by simulation analysis.
