Romania’s energy strategy 2020-2030 with the perspective of 2050

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present an analysis of Romania’s Energy Strategy for the period 2020-2030 with the perspective of 2050, in the European context, in accordance with EU directives on energy development and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Romania has important energy resources, but it also depends on imports of energy resources. The paper presents the strategic objectives for energy development of Romania, the vision of the energy strategy and the priority investment program in the energy field. The functioning of the energy system will be done in accordance with the mechanisms of the free market, the countries must develop new technologies, new energy resources to reduce global warming that affects the world economy.
