Universal Control Module of Multi-Active Phased Array Antenna Beam for Communications
Abstract
The concept of a multibeam active phased array antenna (APAA) control module building for communication systems is presented. The universal control module is designed to receive commands from the antenna control system, transmitting commands to multibit discrete phase shifters and attenuators, providing module addressing and collecting analog telemetry information. The module interacts with the control unit by the RS-485 interface. The maximum data transfer speed is 921.6 kbit/s for 64 users on the interface line. The selected microcontroller allows realizing clock frequency up to 35 MHz and receiving, digitizing and transmitting information from 8 analog sensors. The total beam setting parameters time is 2…3 ms.
