Lighting Management for Workplaces with Displays
Abstract
By using a lighting management system (LMS), the highest energy efficiency can be achieved. Work in most systems is based on the use of a single light sensor, evaluates the illumination on the working surface of a table or floor. Regulatory documents establish specific requirements for lighting workstations with computers: it is advisable not only to pay attention to limiting the illumination on the computer screen, but also to monitor the illumination on the working surface of the table. Experimental studies and a regression analysis of the results of evaluating the illumination at office workplaces have established that the construction of a lighting management system is technically impossible using a single light sensor. The LMS proposed by the authors takes into account the requirements of regulatory documents for lighting of workljaces with displays when using two light sensors.
