Enhanced Non-circular Dynamic Base Station Approach to Increase Network Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Network
Abstract
Wireless sensor network having many real time applications like health monitoring, military supervision, atmosphere monitoring, forensic concealment and etc. Energy consumption of sensor motes is a very important considerations in the design of routing for wireless sensor network. There exist several clustering algorithms to condense the power consumption and to stabilize the load of the sensor network . Here proposing with the new hybrid approach, i.e. Non circular dynamic base station with k-means and fuzzy logic approach. K-means clustering technique is used to form clusters and different fuzzy parameters are used to elect the cluster heads in each epoch. The fuzzy parameters taken are proximity of the mote to base station, energy among the sensor motes and the density of cluster. In each epoch cluster head is chosen based on the fuzzy parameters is known as Master cluster head. The base station moves towards the master cluster head to gather the data in each epoch. This novel approach will condense the energy dissipation of sensor mote in the network. The proposed approach simulated with the mat lab and comparing results with the existing protocol to show the improvement.
