Review of Non Conventional power electronic converters for Solar PV with Non-linear loads

Abstract

This work is carried out with the non-conventional power converters for solar PV applications, and the performance has been compared with the traditional converter configurations given the number of components used. And also, the lagging technical accepts of both DC-DC boost converter and cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverters have been discussed with the other proposed converters configurations. As the solar PV system generates DC power at a lower voltage level the boosting up voltage level is always required and in addition to that, the output power has to be converted into AC employing an inverter. In both situations, there is a need for Power converters to perform those operations. These power converters are the major factor while cost came into the picture; more components make the system more costly and complex.
