Tree Monitoring System using Geotagging and Steganography
Abstract
The Carbon Neutral Wayanad project aims to scale back the quantity of carbon dioxide within the atmosphere through a series of initiatives. Tree Banking may be a loan scheme by which each farmer can get a loan amount of fifty Rupees annually for growing a tree. The loan is going to be provided by the local co-operative bank. The bank needs confirmation on the presence of a tree. Currently, plants are too small and hence detection from satellite images isn’t practical. Registration is going to be conducted first so that the farmer must upload a geo-tagged image of his tree at each interval of time. This paper proposes a location verification supported image processing concept using the GPS location data embedded within the captured image. Also, GPS data security is often enhanced through image steganography using Quick-Response Codes.
