Design of a Compact Directional Coupler on a Flexible Substrate
Abstract
This paper presents the topology of compact directional couplers on a flexible substrate, obtained in the program NI-AWR design environment. Miniaturization of the dimensions of the devices was carried out using artificial transmission lines, whose dimensions are smaller than standard transmission lines. Compact couplers operate in the decimeter wavelength range and their area is more than 4 times smaller compared to the standard design at the same operating frequency.
