Abstract

Now a day’s chaotic optical communication is getting much more popularity over the traditional one fon inaccessibility to the eavesdroppers. A nonlinear system with feedback can produce chaotic signals. In this paper, an electro optic modulator with electronic feedback is deployed for the generation of optical chaos. However, nonlinear optical devices are too expensive and are not easily available in a remote part of India. Hence to deal with this problem we have designed a nonlinear electronic oscillator capable to replicate chaotic characteristics as those of Electro Optic or Acousto Optic modulator. It is a well known fact that all the dynamical system evolves in presence of noise. Hence to investigate the noisy and chaotic behaviour of this electronic simulator we have conducted extensive numerical experiments on this system and found that our analog computing circuit is capable to imitate the characteristics of Electro Optic system up to a great extent and also able to withstand a lot of noise which is good for communication.
