Finite Automata as Control Model for Manufacturing Discrete Type System

Abstract

The authors developed an automaton model of a discrete-logical system for controlling the conveyor based on the Moore model of automata. As an example, a conveyor belt with two control buttons, with two position sensors and with two directions of movement is selected. For the formalization of information about the control object the authors made the control system of the mathematics model in a form of transition graph. The problem of control logical system’s synthesis is solved. It consists of a memory block, logical conditions block and the exits block in a form of logical equitation’s system. The problem of synthesis of the control logic device, which consists of a memory block, a logic conditions block and an output block, is solved in the form of a system of logical equations. The software implementation of the control system is made in the language of relay circuits LD. It is shown that the use of models of finite automata in the development of control systems for industrial controllers reduces the number of logical errors in the code.
