2.5 to 5.5 GHz Wilkinson Power Dividers Based on LC-Ladder Equivalent Transmission Line

 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


A novel lumped-element Wilkinson power divider using LC-ladder circuits is presented. The proposed power divider is composed of parallel multi-section LC-ladder circuits and an isolation resistor located between two output ports. To implement the described lumped-element Wilkinson power divider, the GaAs integrated passive device (IPD) technology with a substrate thickness of 100um is used. By adopting the equivalent transmission line technique, the Wilkinson divider covering the frequency range from 2.5 to 5.5GHz has been realized. The measured results of fabricated power dividers exhibit good agreement with theoretical results while achieving broadband impedance matching at input and output ports.
