Design of an Open-ended Waveguide Array with a Plane Radome

Abstract

An open-ended waveguide array covered with a plane radome is designed in this paper. After the optimization design of the radiator arrary and the radome respectively, the distance between them is further optimized, and the simulated results show that the optimized antenna with radome has a wider angle scanning capability because of better impedance matching between them.
