Marine Meteorological Observation Technology and Application Based On Large Floating Platform

Abstract

This paper proposes a marine observation technology based on a new type of maritime information base platform. After practical application, it is found that this technology can steadily improve marine meteorological observation capabilities and promote the development of international meteorological observation engineering technology. In order to improve the ability of real-time monitoring of marine (especially the distant sea) meteorology and the level of protection against catastrophic weather, China Electronics Technology Group led the development of largescale, flexible deployment (18 meters hight) floating platform. The floating platform includes systems such as platform, detection, energy, communication, and information management. It can be equipped with a variety of marine meteorological environment monitoring equipment to achieve wind speed, wind direction, temperature, pressure, atmospheric waveguide, solar radiation, sea fog, precipitation, Visibility, and all-weather real-time observations of marine meteorological environmental factors such as seawater salinity, seawater temperature, velocity, and direction, to obtain marine meteorological data from the sea surface to the upper air. At the same time, various weather data collected by the platform and video data of meteorological activities such as giant waves and typhoons can be transmitted to the data center in real time through its own communication system to obtain the first-time data. This technology can provide information support for marine meteorological services and lay an important foundation for the interdisciplinary development of marine science and technology. Through the continuous development and application of the world’s first large-scale floating platform for marine meteorological observation technology, it leads a crossconvergence of multiple theories, methods, and technologies to drive the overall change and breakthroughs in the field of marine meteorological observation.
