Opimized Harmonic of 27-Level Inverter for Aircraft Application Using Particle Swarm Optimization

 
 
 

Abstract


This paper presents the optimized Harmonic of Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) using Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) to apply in the aircraft electrical power systems. The modeling and control of MMC are applied in terms of the vector current control for MMC converter and optimized harmonic modulation technique. The simulation results shown that the performance of the control systems is into steady state it was suitable for applied for aircraft inverter application, because the control and telecommunication in the aircraft are more sensitive and important in EMI problems. The advantage of the proposed inverter, it generated the output voltage waveform nearly sinusoidal without high frequencies like PWM inverters. Due to the fact that it has low electromagnetic interference and it has no need the filter.
