Performance Assessment Index in Continuous Annealing Processes by Extracting Reference Curve of Operating Modes
Abstract
The setting range of outlet temperature, as the traditional performance assessment index in Continuous Annealing Processes(CAP), is no longer to meet a high demand on quality. It is significant to get a more detailed and targeted performance assessment index to get high-quality strips. This paper designed a new performance index by extracting reference curve. The normal operating process mode was firstly is analyzed to get characteristics of temperature. Next, by using time warping methods, the reference curve based on characteristics are obtained. Then different assessment levels can be defined and combined with the curves and operating experience as the performance index. Finally, the experiment using actual data shows the index can meet the requirement of evaluating different operating levels.
