Dynamic Group Decision Support Models for Locating Faults in Power Systems

Abstract

This work is devoted to the design of a multiple attribute group decision support model for locating faults in power systems. Fault location is firstly converted into a group decision making problem, and, then, a novel group decision making model is constructed to find the solution. The solution is found through the consensus assessment and selection process in multiple time-steps due to a large number of available alternatives in distributed power systems. Due to the dynamic nature of the decision environment, a novel fusion model is proposed to integrate the individual evaluations in each time-step by optimally selecting a set of dynamic weights for the collective evaluations. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed scheme are verified by locating open-circuit load-loss faults on the IEEE 39-bus system.
