A Review on Localization Problems in Wireless Sensor Network: Algorithmic and Performance Analysis

Abstract

Owing to the fundamental applications, there is a great demand for WSN. The nodes are located in the space in a random manner, and it is required to find the precise node location. The main conflict with the sensor is the less energy and cost and due to this fact, the entire sensor node location is not stored. There exists a vast count of applications, in which the entire node location is needed. Hence, the location finding of the nodes exists as a main challenge for the research. The main intention of this paper is to make a detailed review on diverse intelligent algorithms that are used for the solution of localization problem in WSN. Mainly, this review focuses on the various meta-heuristic algorithms to be suited for solving the WSN localization problem. The analysis on algorithms, simulation platforms, and the evaluated parameters are done in this review. Thus, the most reliable algorithmic model that optimizes the results of the localization issue of WSN is effectively analyzed and finds the suitable research direction.
