Abstract

The purpose of the fulfilled work is to develop control strategies for an active suspension of a vehicle. To achieve this goal, an analytical model has been developed to simulate the action of the suspension against several disturbances. This model includes the passive elements representing the vehicle, the actuators and the various control laws that has been studied. During the course of the work, the main strategies used in the literature were evaluated in order to target the advantages and the disadvantages related to them. Following these results, an active system including an actuator controlled by fuzzy logic and other using a PID controller. The results show an appreciable improvement in performance of the two degrees of freedom for a quarter vehicle model.
