A Modified Deadbeat Current Controller for Field Oriented Induction Motor Drivers

 
 
 
 

Abstract


This work presents an Oversampled Deadbeat current controller for Induction Motors (IM) drives approach capable of operating at a controller sampling frequency higher than the power converter switching frequency. The proposed technique permits achieving a constant switching frequency and robust behavior to parameter variation to improve efficiency. A disturbance observer has been added to the current controller to compensate for the converter voltage and eliminate high harmonic noise. The proposed oversampling deadbeat current control is tested through Simulation Matlab/Simulink.
