Abstract

In this paper, a high voltage conversion gain dc-dc without isolated converter and with zero voltage switching scheme (ZVS) is presented for inexhaustible energy resources like Solar photo voltaic panels, fuel cells, battery powered system and wind power system. The operation of proposed converter control with average duty ratio operation and less turn s ratio, to achieve high voltage gain with less semiconductor device stress. The various voltage boosting techniques like coupled inductor, voltage quintupler rectifier and passive/active clamp are incorporated. The charging and discharging of capacitors happens through parallel and series by voltage quintupler rectifier to achieve high voltage conversion gain. The active clamp circuit is operated to achieve ZVS in MOSFET switches with low voltage stress on diodes. This converter operates with reduced switching, ohmic losses and improves efficiency. Finally, the proposed converter experimental prototype is built for 400W with steady state analysis to verify the performance with PSIM software.
