Moving Target Detection in Multi UAV Platforms

 
 
 
 

Abstract


The traditional platform SAR system (airborne, space borne, etc.) is affected by the complex system design, high cost of radar and payload, inflexible application, difficult operation and other factors. The combination of SAR system and UAV improves the detection ability, but the detection time of UAV is often very short, so it is difficult to obtain enough echo data. In this paper, a moving target detection method based on multi UAV platforms is proposed. A new echo expression for UAV platform is proposed. According to the phase expression of the echo, we construct a set of multivariate nonlinear equations about the target parameters, and use the data collected from multiple platforms to solve the equations by curve fitting method, so as to achieve the purpose of parameter estimation. The influence of noise background is solved by robust principal component analysis (RPCA). The experimental results verify the feasibility of our method.
