Research on attitude control strategy of Two-DOF helicopter based on LabVIEW

 
 
 

Abstract


In order to achieve fast and stable control of a Two-DOF helicopter, a state feedback control method based on the LabVIEW platform implementation has been designed for the problem of high coupling of the helicopter that cannot be solved by the traditional PID controller. Based on the mechanical structure model of the helicopter system, the dynamics model of this control system in the pitch and yaw directions is established. Considering the obvious coupling characteristics of the system, the state feedback controller has been designed using the LQR control strategy. Finally, the flexible online programming method of LabVIEW platform has been used to realise the real-time and effective tracking of the pitch and yaw angles of the Two-DOF helicopter. The experimental results show that the signal tracking performance and decoupling performance of the LQR controller are good and can basically meet the performance requirements of the system.
