Study on Improving the Direction-Finding Accuracy of Rotary Baseline Phase Interferometer

Abstract

The direction finding method of rotating baseline phase interferometer uses the maximum and minimum values of phase difference between array elements to estimate the Angle of incoming wave. However, when there is noise interference in the environment, the direction finding error will be large. To solve this problem, this paper uses the three-parameter least square method to estimate the amplitude, the initial phase and the offset of the phase difference curve after the fuzzy solution, and then carries on the fitting processing to the phase difference curve. The method can effectively improve the direction finding accuracy of the rotating baseline phase interferometer, and the simulation results show that the method is effective.
