Analysis of Digital Current Controllers for Single- Phase Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Inverters

 
 
 
 

Abstract


This paper presents comparative analysis among digital current controllers for single-phase grid connected photovoltaic inverters with L-filter. The considered controllers are proportional and integral controller (PI), proportional and integral plus resonant controller (PI+Res), deadbeat control (DBC) and model predictive control (MPC). The considered parameters for analysis are the total harmonic distortion (THD) for the injected grid current, phase and amplitude error in steady-state and during power reference step change. Simulations were made through Matlab/Simulink® platform to guide novel projects.
