Advantages of Direct Network-Coded M-ary Differential Chaos Shift Keying Systems
Abstract
Network coding is considered a promising technology for wireless communication systems due to its high throughput. The defects of the previously proposed physical layer network-coded differential chaos shift keying (PNC-DCSK), analog network-coded differential chaos shift keying (ANC-DCSK) and direct network-coded differential chaos shift keying (DNC-DCSK) systems are that they cannot have, at the same time, high throughput, good BER performance as well as low system complexity and cost. Therefore, this paper proposes a direct network-coded M-ary differential chaos shift keying system, called DNC-MDCSK system, to solve this problem. The reason for employing M-ary differential chaos shift keying (M-DCSK) modulation is that it improves the transmission data rate and energy efficiency compared to that of DCSK modulation. In addition, the bit-error-rate (BER) and throughput of the proposed system are derived theoretically and verify them through simulation. Finally, the advantages of the proposed system are proved by simulation analysis.
