Decision Making in Transmission Line Multiobjective Optimization with SMARTS

Abstract

In this paper, the a posteriori decision making method SMARTS is used to choose the best solution of the nondominated front previously met by optimization method. The transmission line multiobjective optimization problem is solved in order to minimize the electric and magnetic field on the ground level and maximize the surge impedance loading. The multiobjective optimization was performed by Differential Evolution algorithm and the decision making method SMARTS is used to choose the best solution. The results showed that decision making methods play an important role in multiobjective problems, helping the decision maker choose the better solution and reflecting its preferences.
