A Novel Sparse Measurement Matrix for CS-DCSK UWB System

Abstract

Compressed sensing based code-shifted differential chaos shift keying (CS-DCSK) ultra-wide band (UWB) system has been demonstrated to be feasible with a sub-Nyquist sampling rate. In this paper, a novel sparse measurement matrix is proposed for the compressed sensing based CS-DCSK UWB system. The proposed measurement matrix has better column orthogonality, stronger noise removal ability and lower computational complexity, which is easy to implement in practice. Simulation results indicate that the compressed sensing based CS-DCSK UWB system using the proposed measurement matrix has more than 2.0dB bit error rate (BER) performance improvement, which has the same level as the conventional system sampled a full Nyquist rate.
