BER Performance of Various Algorithms in mMIMO Wireless Communications
Abstract
5G wireless communication systems offers, compared to the existing technologies, a larger data rate, less latency, more efficient power, greater system capacity, more connected devices, and new different technologies. 5G systems adopt massive MIMO (mMIMO), which is a promising technology. Furthermore, mMIMO increases the wireless spectrum efficiency and expand the network coverage. In this paper we discuss the mMIMO technology with its features and advantages and review the mMIMO capacity and energy efficiency. Moreover, simulation results of adopting various mMIMO detection algorithms are presented. The results, in terms of bit-error-rate (BER) performance, show that the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM)-based infinity-norm (ADMIN) detector has better performance.
