A Novel Blind Detection Scheme of Polar Codes
Abstract
In this letter, we propose an efficient blind detection scheme of polar codes compliant with the 5G standard. In the proposed scheme, the lengths and locations of the downlink-control information (DCI) are detected separately in two stages. Before entering the second stage that is dedicated to the detection of locations, at least half of the candidates are eliminated through the detection of the DCI lengths in the first stage. Specifically, a novel detection metric is used in the first stage to detect the lengths of the DCI and further exclude invalid candidates. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes in terms of detection accuracy and latency.
