Adapting IT Governance Practices for the Changing IT Function

Abstract

How is information technology (IT) governance adapted when an organization transitions from an in-house to an outsourced IT function? Based on a case study of a very large, complex outsourcing engagement of an organization s IT function on a global scale, we develop recommendations to guide others in effectively managing this transition.
