Algorithms for the Accounting of Multiple Switching Events in Real-Time Simulation of Distributed Power

Abstract

In real-time simulation the most common problems are switching events which is caused by the inconsistent between simulation step and switching time. The traditional algorithm of real-time simulation uses variable step and interpolation to solve the problem, but it is not precise enough when deal with multiple switching events. So the paper divided multiple switching events into two parts and proposed a new algorithm to deal with them. The new algorithm not only improve the precise of simulation but also can be used in real-time, which is proved in the model of three phases inverter that is widely used in microgrid.
