Generator Redispatch Control Strategy with Big Data for Power Systems with Renewable Energy
Abstract
With the development of renewable energy, its generation uncertainty issues have been challenging power system operation. This paper proposes generator redispatch control strategy to compensate the high power fluctuation of renewable generations based on big historical data of renewable power production. The proposed control strategy aims to minimize the overload probability of branch power flows and prevent power congestion in system operation. This control strategy is tested on the IEEE 39-bus system, and the simulation results indicate that the proposed control strategy enhances power system reliability and repress the negative impact of renewable energy.
