MA3.2 - Partial Local Atomic Ordering in Ge-Sn Alloy (Invited)

Abstract

An underlying assumption in understanding the properties of group IV alloys is that atoms are randomly distributed within lattice sites. Here we show, by combining density functional theory calculation and Monte Carlo sampling, that a partial local atomic ordering exists in GeSn alloy.
