Infocommunication Technologies and Networks for Multichannel Monitoring of Synchronization Signals of SMART Grid and Microgrid Electrical Systems

 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


The use of modern infocommunication technologies and networks to transport synchronization signals to consumers from the national standards makes it necessary to study different mechanisms of their distribution and control. The system of multichannel monitoring with the use of IP technologies allows to monitor synchronization signals in real time, which are used to assess stability of the parameters of intelligent SMART Grid and Microgrid Electrical Systems. Such a system can be an effective tool when creating the unified national synchronous information system (UNSIS) of Ukraine, which will provide the necessary accuracy and reliability, information security, and guaranteed quality indicators of synchronization signals. The article represents the results of investigation tests of the developed laboratory model of the automated multichannel monitoring system with the PTB block TIMETER-2pps and P4000winXP software, confirming the possibility of their usage in controlling synchronization signals in intelligent power grids.
