Abstract

Aiming at the scale difference of core magnetic valve section of magnetic-valve controlled reactor (MCR), the number of meshing of magnetic valve section is large, which leads to too long simulation time and difficult convergence of the results. In this paper, the concept of equivalent magnetic field intensity is introduced, and the equivalent method of magnetization characteristic curve of MCR magnetic valve is proposed. By transforming the section of each magnetic valve into a structure whose area is equal to the large section area and the length is equal to the original section length, the mathematical model of the magnetization characteristic curve of the equivalent post-magnetic valve segment is deduced and the curves are calculated, and the MCR model before and after the equivalent are established. The FEM simulation results show that the working state and harmonic distribution of MCR are basically the same before and after the equivalent method, while the simulation time of MCR before and after the equivalent method decreases by 28.96%, 39.59%, 64.48% and 72.3%, respectively.
