Performance Optimization of P+ N Silicon Solar Cell with Screen-printed Boron Emitter



In this work, we report the optimization of screen- printed boron diffusion using dopant paste on monocrystalline ntype silicon wafers. The effectiveness of this diffusion approach for forming emitter has been studied by characterizing sheet resistance and dopant profiles. Al2O3/SiNx stack was chosen as passivation-anti reflective coating for the front side boron emitter. High minority carrier lifetime, agreeable emitter saturation current density extracted using quasi steady state photo conductance measurement and good optical characteristics are in favour of adapting screen printed boron emitters for ntype solar cells.
