Cost analysis of 100% renewable electricity provider utilizing surplus electric power of residential PV systems in Japan

Abstract

Cost and CO2 emissions calculation of an aggregator with 100% renewable electricity were modeled in this research. The aggregator utilizes surplus electricity of the residential PV systems and sells electricity to the residential houses and commercial buildings almost same as the current electricity fee. Aggregator generates electricity by PV, wind, and biomass power generation. The benefit and amount of CO2 emissions of aggregator was simulated when the cost of PV, wind and biomass generation were changed. When PV, wind and biomass generation ratio is 50.9 %, 7.6 % and 41.5 %, it shows the best energy mix for aggregator in the 2030 scenario.
