Abstract

In today s world the per capita energy consumption is the important indicator of the development status of any country. The reliability of electricity power is becoming equally important as the quality of power. The significance of integrating different available energy sources for making an Integrating Renewable Energy System (IRES) is gaining more attractions in making a fully reliable energy system. These renewable based Integrating systems are capable enough to overcome the limitations of the individual generating system especially in reducing carbon dioxide emission and increasing reliability. Integration of renewable energy systems eliminates the concerns related with stochastic nature of solar photovoltaic (SPV) and wind energy systems (WES). An integrated energy system with the facility of energy storage is substantially improves the flexibility and efficiency of power supply. For proper sizing of IRES a numbers of parameters are need to be optimized with various constraints associated with individual energy source component. The designing of efficient IRES is totally based on realization of techno-economic and social objectives. In this research paper an overview of various technics used for optimal sizing of IRES have been presented.
