Approximation of Impulse Responses of Filters Matched with Physically Possible Signals

Abstract

To solve a task of optimal filtration of physically possible signals accompanied by background noise it has been suggested to use real filters with impulse responses that approximate responses of ideal filters. It has been demonstrated that such approach may result in significantly reduced number of components of the matched filter.
