Sthe Study on Twin Structure by Gaussian Laser Ablation of Copper
Abstract
Laser ablation will produce complex twin boundaries in the single crystal copper target material, thereby changing its mechanical properties. In this work, a two-temperature model combined with molecular dynamics and time-dependent laser has been used to study the ablation results of copper nano-column. The time-dependent Gaussian laser function has been proven to have trustworthy simulation results and it was found that the twin boundary in the initial nano-copper column model will affect the generation of twins after ablation. It gives an idea that we can use the twin structure in the material to produce more twins.
