Photonic implementation of device-independent quantum randomness expansion

 
 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


We realize the first device-independent quantum randomness expansion experiment secure against quantum side information through quantum probability estimation. $1.08\\times 10^{8}$ bits of near-uniform random bits are expanded at a latency of about 13.1 h from a photonic loophole-free Bell test with record-high single-photon detection efficiency.
