Vigilancia de calidad del aire: soporte de un modelo de gobernanza en la zona centro del Cesar

Abstract

The Air Quality Surveillance System of the central zone of Cesar is constituted by 14 particulate matter monitoring stations (PM10 and PM2.5), distributed among the populations located in the area of incidence of coal mining projects. Its operation has allowed the environmental authorities to monitor atmospheric pollution and exert control over mining projects and other emission sources that affect these populations, achieving important results. In its strengthening process, in 2012 a technical committee was formed with the participation of various actors involved in environmental issues, which today is configured as a space for dialogue and concentration, which plans and coordinates the implementation of air decontamination actions, achieving effective and sustainable solutions over time, seeking to improve environmental quality in the municipalities of the mining area of Cesar
