High-resolution Microwave Coincidence Imaging with Synthetic Aperture
Abstract
Microwave coincidence imaging (MCI), also referred as radar coincidence imaging (RCI), can obtain high azimuthal resolution with no requirement of relative motion between radar and target. However, the synthetic large aperture formed by relative motion could bring great improvements on resolution in SAR/ISAR. To improve the resolution and imaging quality of MCI further, the synthetic aperture can also be utilized by MCI. Moreover, by adopting single-input single-output (SISO) rather than multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system as before, the MCI radar system with synthetic aperture could be greatly simplified. Simulating experiments illustrate the validity of proposed method.
