Chinese guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (2018 edition)
Abstract
Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) is a condition characterized by insufficient or unsynchronized secretion of pancreatic enzymes that results in maldigestion or malabsorption.1,2 The Chinese Study Group for Chronic Pancreatitis of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association gathered a group of experts on Gastroenterology, Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Radiology, Endocrinology, and Pathology to revise the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency (2012 Edition) based on the latest medical evidence both domestic and abroad.
