Reanalysis is needed for the ‘Oxidative and nitrosative stress markers in obsessive–compulsive disorder: a systematic review and meta‐analysis’

Abstract

Currently you published a systematic review and meta-analysis entitled Oxidative and Nitrosative Stress Markers in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis in your journal (1). In that study, Maia et al. investigated association of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) with oxidative stress. They found a significant association between oxidative stress and OCD. Although findings of that study are interesting and valuable, some critical points need to be considered when interpreting these findings.
