Multidisciplinary management of periocular tumour excision repair
Abstract
philic material. Treatment modalities include topical and intralesional corticosteroids, topical tacrolimus, surgical or laser excision, as well as discontinuation of the causative agent. Patient outcomes may vary depending on the cause of the lesion. In our case, the patient received both oral immunosuppressants and intralesional corticosteroids with only transient improvement. Close follow-up is necessary due to the possibility of progression to malignant lymphoma. This was a unique case of cutaneous lymphoid hyperplasia caused by hyaluronic acid filler injection and fat grafting. Clinicians should be aware of cutaneous lymphoid hyperplasia as a potential late-onset side effect of hyaluronic acid filler injection and fat grafting. Accurate history taking will lead to appropriate diagnosis and identification of the causative agent.
