It is a shared belief that women considering fertility preservation should be advised of the exponential decline in their ovarian reserve coupled with a diminished response to ovarian stimulation as they age. We read the review by Alteri et\xa0al. with great interest. The authors stretch out the current knowledge on fertility preservation for non-medical indications in women willing to postpone motherhood. While the authors are to be congratulated for their comprehensive overview, a distinct point regarding the optimal timing to freeze oocyte should be clarified. This article is protected by copyright.
