Melatonin receptor agonists for bipolar mania: A systematic review and meta‐analyses of double‐blind randomized placebo‐controlled trials
Abstract
We are interested in investigating whether melatonin receptor agonists (MEL-R-agonists), such as melatonin and ramelteon, benefit the treatment of bipolar mania. The recent double-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial (DBRPCT) reported that adjunctive melatonin administration was not superior to placebo in improving the mania scale scores of patients who received mood stabilizers or antipsychotics.
