Inadvertent complications during laparoscopic colorectal surgery and their management – a video vignette
Abstract
Minimal invasive surgery (MIS) is now a well established surgical technique for colorectal cancer and continues to evolve. Some high volume centres do perform MIS for extended TME with good results. However all surgical procedures are associated with complications. This is a video compilation of various intraoperative complications which we have encountered and in we demonstrate how we managed them. The purpose of this video is also to show trainees to avoid them but if they occur, how to deal with them.
